We cover the wins nobody covers
The thesis
News is a filter tuned for sudden, negative, and visual. That means slow, positive, cascading wins get almost no coverage — even when they're bigger stories than whatever led the broadcast.
We hunt second-order outcomes: what happened *after* the thing everyone already reported. Banning leaded gasoline wasn't just an environmental story — two decades later it shows up as falling crime and rising IQ. Reintroducing wolves didn't just make wolf fans happy — it changed the shape of rivers.
The rule
Two independent sources or we don't post it. Independent means different publishers who didn't copy each other — government data, peer-reviewed papers, major outlets. We drop shocking claims we can't double-source, even when they'd go viral.
Current count: 53 facts, all double-sourced. Sources are linked on every single post.
Is this denialism?
No. Real problems are real. But a media diet of only threats distorts your model of reality more than optimism does. We're correcting the sample, not ignoring the signal.
Optimism isn't believing things are fine. It's noticing where they're getting better — so you can push on those levers.
